Meet The Staff
Head Coach, Bob Anniballi
Coach A has been with Natick Wrestling as an athlete, assistant coach, and head coach since 1981. As head coach, he enters the 2024-25 season with a career record of 589-77-5. Last season at the D1 State Tournament, Coach A was selected by his peers as the D1 "Coach of The Year". He was also selected as the Boston Globe D1 Coach of the Year. In 2017 he was inducted into the National Wrestling Hall of Fame. He serves as the Health & Wellness Director for Natick Public Schools. Coach lives in Natick with his wife, Kori, and sons, Mike and Eddie.
Coach Kevin "Tuna" Thomas
Coach Thomas has been with Natick since 2010. Prior to coming to Natick, he was the assistant coach at Weston HS for 25 seasons. As an athlete at Wayland High School, he was a 2x State Champion and was a Boston Globe All-Scholastic in both Wrestling and Soccer. He was inducted into the Wayland HS Athletic Hall of Fame in 2008. His two sons, Zach and Kevin had outstanding wrestling careers at NHS, and both of his daughters Sammy & Gabby served as team managers. Coach Thomas resides in Natick with his wife Ginger. He is the owner of "Tuna Landscaping".
Paul Ahern
Paul joins Natick High School as the assistant wrestling coach, bringing a wealth of experience from his previous coaching roles. Most recently, he served as the head wrestling coach at BC High School for five years. Prior to that, he was the head coach at Dedham High School, where he led the team to both a Sectional and State Runner-up finish. He also coached at his alma mater, Needham High School, guiding the Rockets to two Sectional Finalist finishes.
As a wrestler for Needham High, Paul was a state champion and went on to become a three-time All-New England place winner in college. Over his career, he has coached 15 State Champions, 2 New England Champions, and 2 All-Americans.
Miguel Rodriguez
Coach Rodriguez enters his 2nd season with the Redhawks. As a 2013 student-athlete at NHS coach excelled in both Football and Wrestling. Coach Rodriguez serves as a patrolman for The Natick Police Department.
Brian Linton
Coach Linton will start his 5th season with the Redhawks but also was on the staff in the early 2000s for several seasons. Coach is a 1992 graduate of NHS where he captained the wrestling team. He has also been a long-time varsity football coach at NHS. He serves as a Lieutenant for The Natick Fire Department
Ryan Schwalbenberg
Coach Schwalbenberg recently joined the HS staff. He is originally from Glen Ridge, New Jersey, and attended the University of New Hampshire after high school. He played on the club lacrosse team and club wrestling team at UNH. As a heavyweight for UNH, he was a 2X National Collegiate Wrestling Association (NCWA) National Qualifier. He is currently the general manager for Landmark Roofing, based out of Framingham. This past Fall coach got married. He currently lives with his wife in West Roxbury.
Phillip Brown
Coach Brown rejoins the NHS staff this season. Coach has served as a Natick Youth wrestling coach, former Varsity assistant, and former Treasurer for the Natick Wrestling Association. Coach Brown is a 1990 graduate of Natick HS where he captained the wrestling team and placed 4th at the D1 state tournament. He resides in Natick with his daughter and he is a lawyer with his own practice in Natick.
